Pottsville Beach is nestled on the Tweed Coast, Northern New South Wales. Situated just 1 hour from the Southern Suburbs of Brisbane and only a 30-40 minute drive to Byron Bay and under an hour to Ballina. There are also many great spots straight off the beach, which stretches from Hastings Point to the North all the way down to Wooyung. Once you have crossed the bridge in town there are many spots along the Tweed Coast road for surf fishing on one side and Mooball creek on the other.
Visitors to Pottsville are greeted with a great range of facilities including take away and dine in restaurants, hotels and bottle shops, a 7 day IGA store, many accommodation options, bowls club, newsagents, bakeries, butcher shop, doctors, chemist, organic market, hardware and many other shops in the centre of town in Coronation Avenue. There is also a great golf course and kayakers / canoers will love the creek systems.
On the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month, the Pottsville Beach Neighborhood Centre runs its Beach Markets. These popular markets are managed by PBNC and create an avenue for you to purchase farm fresh produce, plants, homemade treats, local art/craft, clothing and jewellery, home décor/kitchenware, nic-nax and much more. All stalls are operational from 7:30 am. Dogs on leads, controlled by responsible dog owners, are welcome!
The markets are held right out the front of The Pottsville Bait and Tackle shop on the parklands in Philip street.
